NASA’s train has been involved with the space program for years, moving segments from Titusville FL to KSC property. This train was caring the last SRB segments over the Indian River which has to cross the old rail road bridge to the Canaveral National Sea Shore where Kennedy Space Center is located.

We Deliver (1983) STS-5 Through STS-8

JSC 830 – (1983) – 28 1/2 Minutes – The first four operational missions of the Space Transportation System (STS) – flights STS-5, 6, 7, and 8 – are covered. The common denominator of these missions, satellite deployment, is stressed. Also included are some of the more important onboard experiments and the significant secondary achievements, such as EVA’s, first female astronaut (Sally K. Ride), first black astronaut (Guion S. Bluford, Jr.), first night launch (STS-8), and first night landing (STS-8).

One Step Closer (1982) STS-3

Recaps the third flight of Columbia; a flight that brought the Orbital Flight Test Program one step closer to completion. This includes the move of landing equipment to Northrup Strip, NM (alternate landing site), launch, major crew activities on-orbit, sandstorm at landing site, waveoff of landing (causing Columbia to stay on-orbit an extra day), and landing.
